I was lucky enough to have Ivy do my makeup for my wedding! I was having a hard time finding someone available on my date and thankfully someone recommended her to me when I was about to give up and do my own makeup! I'm so glad it was able to work out because I definitely hit the jackpot for a makeup artist. Not only was she super quick to get back to me via email but made setting up a trial easy, she came to my house and brought everything! I was extremely impressed by her professionalism and patience with me, a probably very difficult and very particular client. When I was planning my wedding, I was also under a lot of stress. I lost my brother, I was living in a new city, and I started a new job. My stress resulted into terrible acne. I had two failed makeup trials. One left me orange, and the other failed to book me in her calendar, leaving me with two weeks before my wedding to find someone else. I was at an exhausted place of emotions. I wanted to be angry and just cry, but instead I took it out on Facebook. I asked my friends for help, and Ivy Boyd's name popped up. Ivy was sent to us from a good friend to do our makeup for our wedding in June of 2015. At age 51, I was looking for someone who didn't have only one way to apply wedding makeup. She suggested a "trial run" so I did just that. She was incredibly professional, talented and so much fun. My wedding was in the daytime however semi-formal, weather calling for temperature in the 90's and outside. It was all of that.
